As gaining entrance into college becomes more and more competitive, the personal essay which reflects who the student is, how the student thinks, and what the student values, continues to be a decisive factor. While some colleges and universities no longer require college entrance exams (i.e., the SATs and/or ACTs), nearly all require the personal essay.
College counselors strongly recommend that students get a head start on their college application process by writing the personal essay the summer before senior year. The course will engage students in a process of self-discovery leading to a solid, working document that is uniquely theirs and that can be shared with college counselors for final review in the fall.

Vantage Point Tutors has run numerous successful SAT and ACT preparation courses over the last year. Our unique approach focuses on both content and strategy, and it is designed as a combination of small group instruction and individual tutoring. We would be happy to speak with families who wish to arrange small group PSAT, SAT and/or ACT classes for your student and between 4 and 6 of his/her peers.
